For the adults, there’s the iconic Flamingo Lagoon, the Giant Panda Research Station and the Polar Bear Plunge and Elephant Mesa. San Diego’s unique geography makes it a great place to have an animal refuge, and this shows in the well-tended grounds of the zoo.
Another awesome San Diego attraction is the San Diego harbor. The harbor has a great deal of aquatic activities that tourists can enjoy, such as a whale or dolphin sighting cruise and sailing. You can also bike or skate along the San Diego Embarcadero. Hungry tourists will also enjoy some of the best seafood in the world at the many restaurants around the harbor.
A great stop for the kids is LEGOLAND. You’ll be greeted at the entrance of LEGOLAND by a nine-foot LEGO dinosaur and from there you can visit lots of great attractions such as the Beginning, Dino Island, Funtown, Knight’s Village, Imagination Zone, Explore Village and Miniland USA.
At the Imagination Zone, you can ride the LEGO TECHNIC Coaster. You can also enjoy seeing LEGOLAND from above riding Fun Town’s Sky Cruiser. The best place for toddlers at LEGOLAND is Explore Village.
Balboa Park is the heart of San Diego and one of its best attractions. The park itself is a verdant oasis of greenery and Spanish architecture. Surrounding the park are 15 diverse museums that cater to a wide variety of interests such as sports, the arts, history, aerospace, dinosaurs and more. Balboa Park is also easy on the wallet. The park offers a range of cheap and free activities.
Another great San Diego attraction is the city’s beaches. Cornado, La Jolla, Del Mar, they’re all great beaches and a great time.
